Success is the share of submitted edits that completed. Credits are per edited image at the base tier; USD is at the Premium plan rate of $0.19 per credit. Higher resolutions may cost more, see pricing.

What this measures

Quality is the number that matters for editing, and the one this index is built around: identical edit prompts on identical source photos across every editor, each result scored blind on adherence, quality and preservation, normalised to 0-100. Run v0.1 (2026-09-02) used 2 prompts; each run adds more.

Cost is the published credit price for one edited image at the base tier.

Speed is in the table for reference. Most editors finish in a few seconds, so it rarely decides the choice; the table lists median seconds per editor from production over the last 60 days.

What it does not measure

GoCrazyAI sells access to every editor on this page. These numbers are measurements, not editorial picks, and they are not adjusted for margin. Speed reflects our infrastructure and the provider’s queue on the days measured, not the provider’s raw API.

No score on this page is a review or rating of a product for structured-data purposes. The dataset is published as a dataset.

Questions

Which AI image editor is the fastest?
Across the last 60 days of production edits, Wan 2.7 Edit had the lowest median time from submit to finished image at 7 seconds (72 edits).
Which AI image editor is the cheapest?
Seedream 5.0 Lite Edit is the lowest-priced editor at 1 credit per edited image, about $0.19 on the Premium plan.
Which AI image editor has the best quality?
In the v0.1 benchmark (2026-09-02), Seedream 5.0 Pro Edit scored highest at 95 on the GoCrazy Image Quality Index.
How is the Quality Index measured?
Every editor runs the same edit prompts on the same neutral source photos. Each result is scored blind on prompt adherence, image quality and preservation, weighted and normalised to 0-100, then averaged across prompts. Run v0.1 used 2 prompts and grows each run.
Where do the speed numbers come from?
From GoCrazyAI production: every edit submitted through the AI Image Editor in the last 60 days, measured from submit to finished image. Editors with fewer than 50 completed edits are marked preliminary. When an edit fails at the upload stage it can be re-run on a fallback editor, so a low success rate reflects input issues rather than the editor itself.
