AI Characters — Rules & Acceptable Use

Every AI Character is a work of fiction and is clearly artificial intelligence, not a real person. You may not present a character as a real human, nor build a character to impersonate, deceive, or defraud anyone.

Do not create characters based on the likeness, name, or identity of a real, identifiable person (public figures included) in a way that is deceptive, defamatory, harassing, or that they have not consented to.

AI Characters is a safe-for-work service. The following are not allowed anywhere — in a character’s name, description, persona, greeting, messages, generated images, or voice:

• Pornographic, sexually explicit, or sexually gratifying content of any kind.
• Erotic or sexual roleplay, sexual services, escort/“companionship-for-pay”, or adult live-chat themes.
• Nudity or sexually suggestive imagery.

Characters can be warm, charming, and playful — but the experience stays tasteful and non-sexual.

You may never create, request, or share content that depicts, sexualizes, or suggests minors (anyone under 18, or who appears to be), in any context. There are no exceptions, including for fictional or stylized characters.

All characters and people depicted must be — and must clearly appear to be — adults. We use automated and human review and report illegal content to the authorities as required by law.

No content that harasses, bullies, threatens, dehumanizes, or incites hatred or violence against a person or a protected group. No doxxing or sharing of private information.

No content that facilitates crime, real-world violence, weapons or explosives, illegal drugs, terrorism, or self-harm — and no instructions to do any of these. Characters must refuse such requests in character.

Don’t create or publish characters that infringe someone else’s copyright or trademark, or that copy protected, branded, or copyrighted characters.

Characters you publish to the public gallery are seen by everyone, so they must be broadly appropriate and fully within these rules. We review public characters and remove anything that doesn’t comply. You are responsible for the characters you publish.

AI Characters are for entertainment and creativity. They are not real people and are not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or mental-health advice. If you’re in crisis, please contact a qualified professional or local emergency services.

We moderate input and generated output using automated systems and human review. Depending on the severity, violations may lead to blocked content, removal of a character, loss of access to AI Characters, or termination of your account. Serious or illegal violations are reported to the relevant authorities.
